TIME. PLACE. INGREDIENT.

A season has a location.

A grain harvest is not a flour expiry date. Fresh fruit, stored grain, and traditional holiday bakes each follow different calendars.

Harvest

When a crop is gathered in a named place. Dates vary with weather, variety, elevation and the individual year.

Availability

When an ingredient is commonly accessible. Storage, imports and processing can extend availability beyond the local harvest.

Tradition

When a drink or bake is commonly prepared for a cultural occasion. It is not evidence of an agricultural harvest.

Choose a month to explore

Filters show only documented windows. Northern and Southern hemisphere records are kept separate; dates are not automatically shifted by six months.

If a record has no seasonal window, it remains searchable in the library. We do not invent a calendar to fill the gap.
